A Casa do Design recebe a retrospetiva “José de Lemos” dedicada a um artista que, durante décadas, foi um caso à parte na multidão de génios da ilustração portuguesa do século XX. A exposição tem curadoria do designer Jorge Silva e exibe um total de 52 peças.

Sneakers: Portuguese Brands, from the Estado Novo to the Turn of the Millennium

The sneaker is unanimously recognised as one of the icons of contemporary culture. In this exhibition, designer and curator Pedro Carvalho de Almeida presents his collection of more than 500 Portuguese sneakers, sheding a light on the athletic footwear brands designed and produced from the 1930's to the new millennium.

João Carlos

The retrospective "João Carlos" is dedicated to João Carlos Celestino Gomes, whose activity as an illustrator and designer developed from the 1920s until his death in 1961. The exhibition is curated by the designer Jorge Silva and displays a total of 111 pieces that include prints on panels and glass, books, magazines, and pamphlets.

PORTUGAL POP. A Moda em Português 1970-2020

The last 50 years of fashion history on display at Casa do Design in collaboration with MUDE – Museu do Design e da Moda, PORTUGAL POP presents a selection of pieces and fashion designers of different generations, backgrounds and languages, encouraging the debate about the identities of Portuguese fashion and its cultural, economic and social value.
