Design connects us to each other. It helps us understand the world and to find ways of participating and sharing. Now more than ever, Casa do Design wishes to be a vital meeting point for the Design community, pursuing its mission of producing knowledge and reflecting on the present through an informed and critical perspective.

Casa do Design, a project that results from a partnership between the Municipality of Matosinhos and esad – idea, Research in Design and Art, now introduces itself on its digital platforms with new content: books for free consultation, visits to the archive and new perspectives on exhibitions, conversations with and suggestions by designers and cultural agents.

Among the new items, the highlight goes to Find and Frame: The Archive Thought Today, which presents a critical analysis of the collection and Casa do Design programming over the last four years. A retrospective that is also the problematization of exhibitions and collection under current themes, challenges, stakeholders and objects. Note also for the Open Book campaign, in which publications from Casa do Design and other editorial content will be made available for free online consultation, facilitating access to works of reference in design for everyone.
